PERSONAL AND TRANSFERABLE

The speed of production turns us into consumers of instant satisfactions; The mediators sell us someone else's privacy, communication, reality... and that's when we lose contact with the things that we really long for, while our preferences and maybe... our own identity are molded.

Life is not always spectacular despite the implicit promise when it is sold as an entertainment. Frustration when the expectation does not come true becomes profitable for those who generate and satisfy necessities with dreams. And so the spectator, hooked and confused, hardly ever stops to think if happiness might be somewhere else, if it might be a personal creation, a choice which, as this project does, might require the effort of disposing of thousands of possibilities without doubting oneself.

The camera has been the means used by nine volunteers who have tried to decoder and store the daily instants which, in an intimate way, constitute ourselves. Each one their own instants. We created our own representation, treating bland situations as if they were essential. And we did it our way, with more or less help, getting where we wanted to and motivated, some of us, by family obligation, others by doing something different or just out of curiosity... all responding to an odd but sincere request.

What you see is an excuse: the concentrated output of a subjective and implacable distillation, the remains of a long and dense experiment, but also an enriching and exciting one. The mediation, not very innocent, packed and consumable that remains after a communication experience that, by itself, has always been the real project.
