The CEF is born in Vigo in January of 1985 after the I Fotobienal, being its aims the following: -To recover, study and spread the historic Galician photography -To liven up contemporary Galician photography. -To make Galiza a part in the debate about contemporary universal photography, showing the different photographic trends of the rest of the world. -To make Vigo a reference point in the international photographic production, and not only a reception place. With this web (cefvigo.com), the CEF intends to show the work of different Galician photographers, with the possibility of buying their photographs on line. With this purpose we will regularly show the new exhibitions in the gallery. At the same time the page will allow their visitors to order the different books published by the CEF and to obtain information about its activities.
